Prompt set

A versioned collection of questions used for a stated observation purpose.

By GEO Primer editorialPublished Reviewed

Scope

Editorial guidance for English-language marketing teams. Examples are illustrative, not measured results. No citation, ranking, traffic, or revenue outcome is guaranteed.

Meaning

A prompt set is a collection of exact questions and relevant context used for observation. Its value comes from its connection to reader tasks and from clear versioning, not from a large count alone.

Build one deliberately

Include learning, comparison, and troubleshooting questions only if those tasks matter to your audience. Record how you chose the questions. A set based on a few internal conversations is a convenience sample, not a representative survey of all buyers.

Common mistake

Rewriting prompts after seeing answers until the brand appears, then presenting the result as a stable baseline. Keep exploratory prompts separate from a frozen observation set and label changes.
